Orchid Haze — Long Kaftan
Orchid, cerise and cornflower dissolve into one another, scattered with butterflies and small feathers that surface and disappear depending on the light. There is no hard edge anywhere — everything is bleed and blur — and the effect at any distance is of colour moving rather than pattern repeating. The prettiest print in Palmera and the hardest to photograph well.
Long Kaftan — Cut full and fluid to just above the ankle — a maxi-length dress, with deep kimono sleeves and an unstructured line that skims rather than clings. Over a swimsuit at noon; with a heel and a gold cuff after dark.
Mini — Falls to mid-thigh — a dress in its own right, with soft kimono sleeves and a relaxed, unstructured line. Wear it alone, belted or loose, or layer it over trousers, denim, or a slip skirt for a longer look.
Printed on mulberry silk. One size, generously cut. Cool hand wash or dry clean.
Also photographed as the Orchid Haze Top.
